This is an important photograph to me. I was in Connecticut, having been flown there by CBS Sports to accompany the Olympic Gold medalist figure skater, Oksana Baiul. I was rushing across a field to get to the arena early in the morning when I looked down and suddenly halted. It was autumn in New England and I hadn't even noticed. The beauty was absolutely stunning and the full meaning of autumn became apparent to me in this small grouping of leaves on the ground. Luckily I had my R6 loaded with Velvia. This became the first in a long series that I continue to this day, not just of autumn, but leaves on the ground during autumn.
