This is typical of the type of photograph I was making during my late teens. I had learned a lot about photography by studying National Geographic and Life magazines, and I experimented with different perspectives, fields of view, exposure settings, etc. I thought I had perfected my photographic technique and was fairly proud of my photographs. This was made in the Appalachian mountains.
