Previous This image of the North Sea lapping at the shore near St. Andrews in Scotland is one of my favorite photographs because of the simplicity, the texture and the contrast of the mystical.  Just a simple beach at the edge of the sea, on a planet at the edge of a modest galaxy, part of an unfathonably vast universe.
